Several SSSI members attended the Svalbard Science Conference in Oslo, organized by the Svalbard Science Forum. In the session “Science for society”, co-chaired by Zdenka Sokolickova, Dina Abdel-Fattah presented the SSSI on behalf of the initiative. The SSSI was also present at the poster session, with several members exhibiting their work, and one poster presenting the initiative.
We are very happy that the social sciences are becoming more visible in the Svalbard science scene and thank the Svalbard Science Forum for their support!
